Support My Swim for Men’s Health – Plymouth Breakwater to Plymouth Hoe
Hi, I'm Chris Horsfield and I’m taking on an incredible open-water challenge to raise funds for a cause that’s close to my heart – The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health.
On Sunday 20th July , I’ll be swimming from the iconic Plymouth Breakwater all the way back to Plymouth Hoe – a challenging stretch of open sea that’s not just physically demanding but deeply meaningful. Every stroke I take will be in support of the men in our lives – fathers, brothers, sons, friends – affected by prostate, testicular, and penile cancers.
The Chestnut Appeal does amazing work in raising awareness and providing vital support for men facing these health battles. Sadly, these issues often go undiscussed, and many men suffer in silence. This charity helps break the stigma, encourage early detection, and fund much-needed equipment and services across the South West.
Why I’m Doing This
Men’s health matters. Too many lives are lost because symptoms go unnoticed or support isn’t available when it’s needed most. I’m swimming not just for the physical challenge, but to help open conversations, raise awareness, and make a real impact through fundraising.
How You Can Help
Please support me by making a donation – no matter how small, it all adds up to make a big difference. Your generosity will help the Chestnut Appeal continue their essential work and reach even more men in need.

Thank you for your support – and if you're local, come cheer me on from the shore!
Together, we can make waves for men’s health.
