Story
Just over a year ago, my mum was rushed into the Chesterfield Royal Hospital with pneumonia and was also diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. She received incredible care from the hospital staff, especially during the intensive chemotherapy treatment while still battling pneumonia. Now, she is under the care of the Macmillan and Haematology department, receiving weekly treatments.
In gratitude for this life-saving care, I have committed to trekking across the Italian Dolomites to raise funds for the Chesterfield Royal Hospital Charity. The trek will begin on July 13, 2024, and I aim to cover 120km in 5 days. I am determined to give back to the amazing Cancer and Haematology departments that have made such a difference in our lives. Your support will not only inspire me during this challenging trek but also contribute to providing vital resources for those in need.
