I am taking on the challenge of running (or more likely: partly running, partly walking) the Ipswich Half Marathon to support RSPCA Suffolk Central branch.

You'll know the organisation is close to my heart and I see and hear about on a daily basis the fantastic work carried out by the team at the Martlesham Animal Centre.

The centre rehomes over 200 animals a year, and they help over 2,000 pets receive the care they need via their Welfare Clinics, financial support for low-income families, microchipping program and pop-up pet food banks.

As a separate charity affiliated to the National RSPCA, they need to raise £1.2 million a year to continue to supply vital animal welfare services across Suffolk.
