Story
I'm going to walk 140 miles between now and December to support Long Covid Kids.
I was diagnosed with Long-COVID when I was 23 years old, and I truly felt like my life was over. Over time, I've managed to work hard to learn everything I can and recover - but I can't imagine trying to do this while also battling with school, exams, friendship groups, and everything else that comes along with being a child.
It sounds almost silly, but I'd always thought of myself as being a 'young person with an illness' - it never even occurred to me that younger children are dealing with the same condition I am. But once I found out? It broke my heart.
I want to raise money for Long Covid Kids to support both the children and parents dealing with this illness, and help to bring awareness to such an important topic.
A big thank you to @madmanphoto_ for working to create content for this fundraiser.
