Story
Since Wear A Hat Day launched in 2010, supporters taking part have raised more than £2.2 million, enabling scientific breakthroughs at our Centres of Excellence and helping us push governments to invest more in life-saving research.
Whether you favour a fedora, sport a sombrero or pop on a Panama – whatever your style – by wearing a hat and holding a fundraising event, you’ll help bring hope to the one in three people who knows someone affected by a brain tumour.
Our very special friend James was diagnoised with brain cancer back in April 2024. This devastating and life changing news rocked not only the family, but those of us who know James.
James has been such a fighter in the last year and a half, going through numerous brain surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy.
But even during all of this he has wanted to give back to such an amazing and worthwile cause, fundraising himself to support research into helping those fighting with the diesease and looking for cures.
At Church House we want to give as much support to James, his amazing family and the research campaigns, so are joining this years Wear a Hat Day in March 2026.
We would love your support with this!
