Marathon Challenge For Pudsey Community Project

Khalil Qamar is raising money for Pudsey Community Project

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 · 10 May 2026 ·

We are a community organisation who exist to transform Pudsey and surrounding areas with and for the local community, especially those most disadvantaged. We run a 6-day-a-week foodbank, a network of community pantries, youthwork, children's clothes reuse, bereavement support and much more.

Story

Pharmacist at Church Lane Pharmacy, Khalil Qamar is preparing to run his first marathon on May 10, 2026, to raise £1,000 for the Pudsey Community Project — a remarkable local charity that provides essential support to individuals and families in our community.

In these challenging times, with the rising cost of living affecting so many, the need for assistance has never been greater. The Pudsey Community Project offers vital help, engaging activities, and a welcoming space for those who may feel isolated or overwhelmed.

Running 26.2 miles will undoubtedly be a significant challenge, but it pales in comparison to the struggles faced by many in our community today. We invite you to join us in making a difference; your donation — whether large or small — will have a meaningful impact and help sustain this incredible local initiative.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
