Help restore the Spire of St Bartholomews Church, Lower Failand

Carrie Lomax is raising money for Parish of Wraxall with Failand
We are a journeying community seeking to worship and serve God in a changing world. We are a caring community of all ages and stages and this is reflected in our worship, work and pastoral care.

Story

St Bartholomew’s Church has stood at the heart of our village for generations — a place of peace, community, and celebration. Its elegant spire, rising above the treetops, has long been a much-loved landmark — familiar not only to those who worship or live nearby, but also to countless countryside walkers who spot it on the horizon as they explore our beautiful local landscape.

Sadly, time and weather have taken their toll, and the church spire is now in urgent need of repair. Without essential restoration work, we risk losing this cherished feature of our village skyline — and an important part of our shared heritage.

We are raising funds to carry out these vital repairs and ensure that St Bartholomew’s continues to stand tall for future generations. Every donation, no matter how small, will help preserve this special place for weddings, christenings, services, and quiet reflection — as well as for all who simply enjoy the sight of the spire across the fields.

If you love the countryside around Lower Failand, have family ties to the church, or simply wish to help protect a piece of our local history, please consider making a donation.

Thank you for helping keep St Bartholomew’s spire shining proudly above our village once more.

🙏 All donations go directly towards the spire restoration fund.
