Ciara's fundraiser for OGCancerNI

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I'm running London Marathon in April in memory of our dear mum Anne Black who died of oesophageal cancer in December 2020 aged just 61.
Mum was made aware of OG Cancer NI by her consultant during her treatment and the charity is very close to our hearts. They support patients and carers affected, fund research and raise awareness of a lesser known cancer and it's symptoms.
I am not a long distance runner! In fact, around this time last year I said 10k was my limit! However, watching last year's marathon on TV, very inspired by my fellow club members, I happened to look up the date of this year's race and it's on what would have been mum's 66th birthday.... If ever there was a sign for me to do a marathon, that was it!
So here we are, 12 weeks out from marathon day and training is underway.
I'd like to thank my club, Glenlough Running Club, for the opportunity to run in the club space and all the support I've received so far.
Thanks in advance for any donations, every penny is much appreciated.
