Three generations. One run. One very special cause.

This October, three generations of our family are taking on a fun run together to raise money for Home-Start Camden & Islington.

Grandmother, mum and daughter — with our fabulous 71-year-old setting herself an extra challenge: to complete the run in 71 minutes!

There couldn’t be a more fitting cause.

Ciara is CEO of Home-Start Camden & Islington and sees first-hand the difference the charity makes to local families every day. But at the heart of Home-Start is something very simple: the difference it makes when someone is there for you.

"We’re incredibly lucky to have each other to call on, and on this run we’ll quite literally have three generations helping each other along. But not every parent has that support network around them."

That’s where Home-Start comes in.

Home-Start’s trained volunteers walk alongside families through some of their toughest times, offering regular, practical and emotional support in families’ own homes. It’s the kind of consistent, non-judgemental support that can make an enormous difference to both parents and children.

Every pound raised will help Home-Start Camden & Islington continue to be there for local families when they need someone in their corner.
