Santa Sabina Camino de Santiago fundraiser for Plan International Ireland

Ciara Kennedy is raising money for Plan International Ireland

Camino

Plan International Ireland is a development organisation that advances children's rights and equality for girls. Everyday, we ensure that the children who are most marginalised receive the education and essential services they deserve and the protection and care they are too often denied. Your generous donations go to life-saving projects, such as providing clean water supplies and child immunisation, which make an immediate and lasting impact to the world's poorest children. We know that it is impossible for a child to reach their potential unless their community is developing alongside them. Plan International's commitment to each community means that the health, sanitation and education programmes we establish are long-term and sustainable.

Story

We are a group of 16 sixth year students and 3 teachers from Santa Sabina Dominican College and we are travelling to Spain to walk 100 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago as part of our Gold Gaisce award, the highest level of the award which will be presented by the President of Ireland. We will walk the 100km in 4 days.

We are so fortunate to be brought on this trip by our school so we have decided to raise money in aid of Plan Ireland, an organisation that supports girls education, rights and safety in Ireland and across the world. Donate what you can and spread the word! We are grateful for any contribution and we can’t wait to have this incredible experience!
