This year, IM Powered is supporting EVERY MONTH, a Manchester based charity who create and distribute packs of menstrual products to food banks and other services for people living in poverty.
If you’d like to help tackle period poverty in Manchester, we’ve set up two donation boxes where you can donate unopened packs of sanitary products (tampons, pads) and chocolate bars:
• Reception (level 4)
• Town Hall (level 5)
If you're unable to donate these items, you can donate money to support Every Month here!

Period poverty refers to the inability to access or afford sanitary products and education. According to WaterAid:
• 1 in 5 people who menstruate in the UK say they or their family have struggled to afford period products in 2021-2022.
• 1 in 5 people who can't afford period products are coping by using makeshift materials, such as loo-roll or sponges.
• 1 in 6 people have missed school or work during their period.
• 3 in 5 people said if period products were cheaper or more free products were available, it would improve their mental health or well-being.

Every Month Manchester is a volunteer led organisation providing period products to Foodbanks and other services in the Greater Manchester area. We do not get government funding, and rely on period product and monetary donations by the public, organisations and community groups to help us to continue our work
