Channel Islands Coop 2025 Guernsey "Coop to Coop" Walk · 5 September 2025

The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation is a Guernsey-based charity that helps local families with a premature baby or critically ill child. Its main areas of work include providing compassionate housing next to Southampton Hospital and supporting on-island neonatal staff.

Story

In October 2025, five CI Coop employees (Mark Cox, Simon Matthews, Paul Coundley, Charlie Manson and Rachelle Hopley) will be joining more than 30 others to complete a gruelling trek across Vietnam, in aid of charity.

As a part of their training, the CI Coop Trekking Colleagues are planning to walk from 'Coop to Coop' on Friday 5 September 2025, uniting every store in Guernsey and Jersey on two separate walks. The Trekking Colleagues will be joined by other Guernsey colleagues, and they will be raising money for a Guernsey charity, the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (the PPBF, https://ppbf.org.gg/).

The PPBF have been supporting families from the Channel Islands with premature babies and sick children since 2003. Their work helps to support families, when they feel helpless, vulnerable and alone. And whilst every life is precious, when babies are born early or children become seriously ill, the fragility of life becomes all too obvious. Since their formation, the PPBF have raised over £1 million to support families and the community in Guernsey.
