Working closely with the delivery partners, we help to regenerate and restore the Great Barrier Reef, building its resilience in the face of major threats. With your support we're helping to deliver practical solutions and actions for the Reef.

Story

In 2023, my older brother Paddy moved to Australia to sail boats in the Whitsundays. He often sends me brilliant pictures of the marine life he sees there and I hope one day to visit him and see it all with him.

However, I know that the destruction of the coral reefs in the Great Barrier region is threatening the fragile ecosystem and marine life which depend on it.

This is why I have decided to do a big walk to raise money for the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, an organisation dedicated to protecting ocean habitats, restoring coral reefs and helping them adapt to the impacts of climate change.

And what better way to do that by walking to the sea!

Over the four days of the Easter weekend (18-21 April) I will walk from Streatley on Thames where I live to the end of the Thames Path, a distance of 100 miles. My parents plan to join me for it - if they can manage it!

I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me so that I can raise money for this very important cause!
