Story
On Saturday 19 September 2026, I’ll be taking part in the London to Brighton Off Road Bike Ride — a 60-mile cycling challenge — to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
This is a cause that is particularly close to my heart. My grandad and my father both sadly died following heart-related complications. I’ve also seen the impact of heart problems among people close to me. One of my friends, who was just 39 years old, has already had a stent fitted, and I have other friends who have faced similar heart-related issues before reaching 50.
It’s a reminder that heart and circulatory problems aren’t something that only affect people in later life. They can affect people of all ages, often when we least expect it.
That’s why I wanted to take on this challenge and do something positive to support the British Heart Foundation, whose work in research, prevention and supporting people affected by heart and circulatory conditions is so important.
I’m grateful to have the opportunity to take part, and I’m hoping to raise £500 for this important cause.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean a lot to me and help support the British Heart Foundation’s life-saving work. Thank you for your support.
