Story

Imagine living alone and having very little or far away family. Imagine needing help with daily activities that we take for granted like booking an appointment. Imagine that food shopping could be overwhelming for you. Imagine not having a community people who could relate. Imagine feeling all of this and then not knowing who to turn to.

It's soul crushing and terrifying, isn't it?

We need a hero. A helping hand. A friend. A safe place.

Enter - Circles Network. They provide a safe, non-threating place for people who need help and are often overlooked. Education, like road or kitchen safety, access to a computer, access to a cup of tea and a conversation! Access to help with booking and attending medical appointments. Access to friendship, kindness, safety, community and activities that would not be possible without Circles Network.

It's about time I introduced myself. Hi! I'm Nina.

I've been getting to know Circles Network Crawley in recent months via a business networking association, and I'm astounded, blown away in fact, by what they do.

On the face of it, they help with what is perceived as the little things, or the things we take for granted. But for those who need them, circles are the superheroes of their everyday lives.

The world is currently full of tarriffs, cost of living crisis, fuel poverty, global warming and dodgy politics. It's scary for us who are fully able. I wanted to find a way to help people who are less able that would actually make a difference to someone - a tangible difference. I want to help a real person, not just a statistic. So i'm cycling from London to Brighton to try and raise money for some of the most vulnerable of our community.

Giving to this charity makes a difference to someones day, no matter how small the donation.

Please donate what you can and be the person who enabled the choccy biscuits for a cuppa and a chat when someone was alone, be the person who enabled that christmas panto visit, be the person who enabled a helper to make the weekly food shop happen.
