Civica is proud to be supporting the School Of Hard Knocks (SOHK) #SkipThePresents campaign this December.
SOHK is an education inclusion charity that uses rugby and specialist 1-2-1 mentoring to improve school engagement & life skills. SOHK is giving young people something no Christmas gift ever could: the chance to feel seen, heard, and genuinely believed in.
Every year, the UK spends billions on presents that are forgotten within months. Meanwhile, our most vulnerable young people remain invisible—facing trauma, poverty, exclusion and feeling like no one is in their corner.
SOHK changes that. They don’t hand out presents. They give confidence, connection, control and support that lasts a lifetime. Real value. Real impact.
Since joining SOHK’s programme I feel a lot calmer and can handle my emotions better at school and at home. I am really enjoying the rugby and would be lost without our weekly sessions.– Josh (13)
