Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Running for Rescues.
On Labor Day, I will be running my first half marathon in four years. My last one was before I had my son and even before Covid. I'm finally getting back to running and I thought fundraising for Running for Rescues again would give me some extra motivation while training to run 13.1 miles, since this is the same charity that motivated me to run my very first half marathon in 2014. If you know me, you know I love dogs, and all animals. I especially love my rescue dog, Porkchop, so this is an organization I love to help whenever I can.
Running for Rescues is a non-profit organization that uses the money raised to help shelters and rescue organizations nationwide, by helping to pay outstanding veterinary bills. Their main source of funding comes from runners all over the country that independently fundraise for them.
With Running for Rescues, you’ll actually be able to see how the money that has been raised is spent. They post pictures and updates on their social media of the dogs and cats (and other animals, too!) that they help with the money we raise for them. Here are a couple of animals they have helped recently!
