As most of you are aware my Dad received a kidney transplant 10 years ago this month. Despite working in the field of dialysis for many years, nothing prepares you for when it happens to someone close to you. The NKF are an amazing charity who have a wealth of information for people with end stage renal failure and do the most amazing work. This is an opportunity to give a little back to them. Team IPL are also joining the challenge so please support me and my colleagues to help raise some much needed funds as they rely on charity donations.

The National Kidney Federation is run by kidney patients to support kidney patients and their families. It runs a free UK Helpline dedicated to kidney patients with two fully trained, experienced advisers providing a 5-day-per-week service to kidney patients, carers and healthcare professionals and Renal Units. The NKF Helpline is also the UK's largest provider of kidney-related medical information leaflets with a library of over 200 titles written by nephrologists in simple language for patients and carers.
