Connor's fundraiser for Bowel Cancer UK

Connor Smith is raising money for Bowel Cancer UK

Shaving My Hair · 1 November 2026

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

This event will occur on Saturday 24th October, I will keep the Donations open until November 1st, so ignore the date of activity.

Hello there! A few weeks ago in a Supporters Group Chat, I had made the stipulation that for when they win their first match, I will do away with my hair!

The man in the bright orange shirt is me

Funnily enough, not even a week had passed, and Slough Town had recorded their first win of the season, a 1-0 win away to AFC Totton.

While I had originally wanted to shave my hair for a charity, I decided to also do it in support of a very popular and loved member of the Rebels family, Scott McNeish.

Scott is a part of what we affectionately call the "McNeish Media Empire", as his sons Connor and Finnan typically handles Commentary and/or Social Media for the football club.

Recently, he had been Diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer. So, in my eyes, the timing couldn't have been more perfect to fulfil my self-inflicted punishment in support for a great man, and a great cause.

Even if you're unable to donate a pound or two, please share this JustGiving, and help me reach my £250 target for Bowel Cancer UK

Edit: Now that I have reached the £250 target, why not go even higher? It is for a great cause!
