Story
Bury Hospice is a Charity that is very close to both of us. We initially hesitated to apply for Strictly Best Foot Forward due to Craig's November 2025 commitment to the Sahara Trek in aid of the Hospice, and raising £1,245. Let us see if we can do it again!
Bury Hospice provided excellent care for our family during Clair's mum’s battle with MND, offering services beyond inpatient care such as baths, therapies, and community visits. After attending the information meeting, we applied and were accepted.
It’s been a whirlwind journey from our early lessons to now, filled with both nerves, frustration and excitement. Learning to dance has introduced us to a wonderful community, all united by a common cause. The anticipation of performing in front of an audience again is both daunting and exhilarating yet knowing we are doing this in support of such a meaningful cause gives us a real sense of purpose.
It costs £4.8million pounds to run Bury Hospice, and as a charity we only receive 13% of this figure from the government leaving us to raise all of the majority ourselves. Every donation makes a difference.
