Claire's fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Trust (MS Trust)

Paris Marathon 2025 · 13 April 2025 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
24th December 2021 I'd spent most of Christmas Eve in hospital experiencing intense pins and needles over my entire left hand side of my body. After a stroke was ruled put I was told there were lesions on my brain. It couldn't be known at that point what was going on. Fast forward a few months and I received a diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS).
MS is a lifelong condition affecting the brain and nervous system. Whilst it cannot be cured some treatments and medications can help to ease symptoms.
I was fortunate to quickly get entered onto a medical trial which enabled me to have a stronger treatment than what would have been available through the NHS pathway.
For someone who suffers with anxiety and doesn't deal too well with uncertainty the diagnosis has been a hard one to deal with. As most know I'm not one to stay down for long and want to continue to stay as fit and healthy as I can whilst I know I still can.
I was so pleased when I applied and was accepted for Paris Marathon place by the MS Trust who support people with MS. I want to raise as much as possible to ensure those suffering can access support when they need it and together we can fund researching a cure.
Please give generously, this will be my first marathon and it's no small feat. I'll be posting updates on my training and fundraising activities, keep an eye out!
