I am taking part in Faith in Schools Pentecost Sponsored Walk around Newham churches and schools which is happening on Saturday 14th June. This event is to celebrate many of our churches and school partnerships as well as raise funds. I aim to be part of raising the £5000 team target which will help the charities work to continue for local pupils to meet Christians and visit churches.

Why not join me? We need people to help us spread the word, sponsor or decorate their church if it's on the route. I am walking with the team. The launch point is St John’s Church, Broadway, Stratford, E15 1NG.

I support FIS because they share the good news of Jesus annually with 30,000 Newham children, at a time when 95% of children and young people don't go to church. They provide excellent value for money - each pupil they work with costs £3.67 per year. My favourite thing about Faith in Schools is that it brings real lived experience of the Christian faith first hand to pupils who might never meet a Christian otherwise.
