Claire's fundraiser for Fiona's Eye Fund

Claire Dolan is raising money for Fiona's Eye Fund
In memory of Fiona Dolan

Belfast City Marathon · 3 May 2026 ·

This fund is been set up in memory of Dr Fiona Dolan, formerly specialist registrar in Ophthalmology, Glasgow who died, aged 36. It funds a cause close to Fiona's heart - enabling Ophthalmology colleagues to perform cataract operations and restore sight to people of all ages in developing countries.

Story

This May, I am doing the Belfast Marathon and would like to raise funds for Fiona's Eye Fund. This charity was set up in memory of my sister Fiona who was an inspiration and phenomenal woman.

Thanks to all the support, hard work and dedication by donors and the medical teams over the years the charity has recently completed over 5000 cataract surgeries abroad, which is amazing.
