Unique is a charity which provides resources, information and support to families affected by rare chromosome and genetic disorders. When our daughter was born we had a fraught first year as she missed all the ‘typical’ development milestones before getting a diagnosis of Chromosome 13 Deletion Syndrome. This is a disorder so rare that the geneticists had not seen a case like her and the leaflet we were given was all the intel available - and it was written and researched by Unique based on a single digit global population.

We continue to benefit from their support as does our tiny dancer (shown when she was younger in her dancing frame below) and want to ensure they keep receiving funds to enable them to support other families with their critical research.
