Homelessness isn't pretty. Sleeping on cold concrete floors, in dank corners, unwashed clothes rolled up into lumpy pillows. Worried about getting enough food, worried about getting through another cold night, worried about whether tomorrow will be the same as today. Only just suriving. Every year thousands of men, women and children in our communities face homelessness. Running this race may seem like a small thing but running The Great North Race in 2023 for Oasis Community Housing means running for all those whose lives have been made hopeless by homelessness. Running for hope. Not Homelessness.

I am running the GNR to bring hope to the many facing homelessness in our communities including women with children and babies. Your support helps to bring warmth, safety and long-term support to all those who come through Oasis Community Housing's doors.
