🚶♀️ Walking 886km for Kidney Cancer Support 💚
On 2nd May 2026 I’ll be walking continuously for 106km around the Isle Of White plus a few other walks on the way…..
My Story 💚
In 2020, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer.
It was a huge shock, one of those moments that stops you in your tracks. It’s not something you ever expect to hear, and navigating everything that comes after can be incredibly daunting.
Talking about cancer isn’t easy. Most people, thankfully, don’t have personal experience with it, which makes it hard for friends and family to fully understand what you’re going through. It can leave you feeling isolated, worried, and overwhelmed.
I’m incredibly lucky to have the most amazing people around me. My friends, family, and support network have been incredible, but I know not everyone has that. That’s why charities like Action Kidney Cancer are so important. They offer genuine understanding, advice, and support when people need it most.
To raise funds, I’ll be taking on monthly walking challenges and then finally the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge, walking 106km around the island! 🥾 a total of 886km (550miles)
As someone who generally does no exercise whatsoever, this is going to be a huge challenge for me… but I’m determined to do it for such a worthy cause.
My monthly walking rolling challenges are as follows;
• November: 80km (50 miles)
• December: rolling total £180km (112 miles)
• January: rolling total 300km (186 miles)
• February: rolling total 440km (272 miles)
• March: rolling total 600km (371 miles)
• April: rolling total 780km (482 miles)
• May 2nd: 106km (65 miles)
If anyone fancies joining me for a walk, you’re more than welcome! 👣
