Edinburgh Marathon 2025 · 25 May 2025 ·
In December 2024 we got the devastating news that Robbie’s brain tumour had recurred. Robbie has undergone surgery to remove the tumour which was successful and now 6 weeks of Radiotherapy to give him the best chance of the tumour not returning. It’s been an extremely stressful and worrisome time for all of our family and friends. When I tried to dig and find out research on brain tumours, prevention or cure there really isn’t enough being done to find this cure. Paediatric cancer especially is massively underfunded.
Myself & Dean, my sister Melissa and my friends Deborah, Gayle, Scott, Leigh and Donna have decided to take part in the Edinburgh 1/2 Marathon on the 25th of May to raise much needed funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. Please help us support them in finding a cure. We are calling ourselves Robbie’s runners as we are running for Robbie, his bravery through treatment has been nothing short of inspirational we want to give him something back and hopefully make him proud of us, as we are so unbelievably proud of him.
