I have decided to complete Trek26 to raise money for a god awful disease. Alzheimers! It has affected so many people in my life. Throughout covid we saw my beautiful godmother deteriorate and eventually she lost her battle not knowing who we were, seeing that deterioration losing someone become a ghost of themselves is heartbreaking.

My beautiful grandma who has always been our rock, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, as a family we stand strong. But its heartbreaking, she remembers all of us and everyday I thank my blessings, but we know what happens with this disease and the amount of families suffering the same heartbreak is awful.

So Trek26 is my opportunity to stand strong, raise money and fight for a cause I believe in. The money will help fund vital research into how this awful disease can be changed for the future of everyone.l, so it no longer devastates lives.
