I am raising money for the new building project at the Bristol 63rd.

I have been a Cub Scout assistant leader for over 10 years at the Bristol 63rd. I was a Venture Scout in my youth and both my sons have been or are still in scouting. It is something that is really important to me and my family.

At Bristol 63rd Scouts we support we support 300+ young boys and girls, ages 6-14. We like to do lots of fantastic traditional scouting activities throughout the year, and help young people work together to make friends, try new activities and challenge themselves.

The existing hut supports not just the Beaver, Cub and Scout groups three times a week but also the Guides, the Brownies, the Explorer Scouts and local community groups.

The popularity of scouting amongst the young people has meant we have been using local off-site community facilities for some of our sections. However, these will soon not be available to us soon and so we need another hut!

Anyone who knows me will now I am not athletic at all. This will be a really challenge for me and I am training hard this summer, with far too many early morning and hills, in the hope I will be able to complete the London to Paris ride at the end of September with Women in Property.
