Story
In November I will be taking on what is certainly the biggest challenge I've ever attempted in my lifetime!.. cycling across India (from Tijara) to Kathmandu. It's a gruelling 1,165km (723miles) over 8 consecutive days, with 8,629m of ascent (Day 8 alone clocks up 3,235m!). It's going to be so tough, and I need to put in some serious training to even contemplate attempting it! So your sponsorship will mean the world to me to keep going, to raise money for the children who will benefit from Country Days, which is such a wonderful charity.
COUNTRY DAYS at Leys Nature Reserve was conceived and set up to give young people in school years 3 -6 an opportunity to explore, have fun and learn in the countryside. Outdoor teaching will not only encourage children to enjoy and appreciate nature but also to respect their environment.
I am proud to be a Trustee of, and fundraising for Country Days, this remarkable educational charity dedicated to enriching the lives of young people aged 7 to 11. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to connect children with the natural world, fostering their wellbeing and education through outdoor exploration. We believe every child deserves the chance to experience nature's wonders and develop a deep appreciation for our planet.
The courses that Country Days run are more than just outdoor activities; they are transformative experiences where young participants build lasting friendships, celebrate their individuality, and learn valuable lessons about teamwork and environmental stewardship in a fun and engaging way.
The money raised will directly support the continuation of these vital courses. Your support is crucial—by donating, you help ensure that more children can enjoy these life-changing experiences.
Donating is quick, secure, and efficient through JustGiving—your generosity goes straight to Country Days without delay or extra cost. Together, we can inspire a new generation to cherish nature and grow through its endless lessons.
