Story
Kirkby High School would like to unite to maximise our fundraising potential in aid of Cancer Research. As a school, we are hosting our very own Race for Life on our school running track on Wednesday 10th July from 3.15pm to 4.15pm. Staff and students will come together to walk, skip or run in aid of Cancer Research. Many people have been affected by cancer and we would like to show our respect to all those who have battled, are continuing to fight or will need the resilience to fight this disease in the future. We would also like to hold this year's Race for Life in support of one of our own Kirkby High community- Mr Walker. His wife Jo is currently fighting cancer and they have both shown remarkable resilience in facing some of the challenges this illness can present.
We are not asking for huge donations, but if people could spare a few pound for Cancer Research, which helps so many people, it would be gratefully received. All donations go towards providing valuable research, so scientists can have the confidence to carry out necessary tests to fight cancer.
