Story

A big haircut to help make a little difference, to children.

Hi, Claire here! Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.

On 5 December 2026, I will be saying goodbye to my long hair and donating it to Little Lady Locks, a wonderful charity providing free hair systems to children experiencing hair loss across the UK.

It is a big change for me, but knowing my hair could help a child feel more confident makes it incredibly worthwhile.

My hair is only part of the gift — I would love your help with the rest.

Turning donated hair into a wig takes specialist skills, time and money. It costs approximately £500 to create just one wig, with around 60 hours of careful work going into making it.Little Lady Locks uses donated hair to create wigs, hair systems and accessories for children who have lost their hair through conditions such as alopecia or cancer treatment. These services are provided completely free to families.

I would love to raise as much as possible to help more children receive that support. Whether you can spare £2, £5 or more, every donation will be truly appreciated.

If donating is not possible, please share my page with friends, family or colleagues. Helping spread the word means so much too.

Thank you for supporting me, cheering me on and helping turn my big haircut into something special for a child.

Love, Claire x
