Just a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Little did I know last year when I shaved all my hair off to raise money for the scannappeal I would be using the equipment they fund.

I have now had my mastectomy and lymph nodes removed. it's all happening so quickly. I consider myself so lucky that this was found and acted on so quickly. Please help me raise funds as a thank you.

The team in Wycombe Hospital are amazing and the speed and efficiency is literally life saving.

So I'm being cheeky again and asking you to help me to raise funds for them. They have a appeal for a Mobile Breast Unit. This will enable more lives to be saved with early detection.

What is amazing thanks to the kindness of a local donor, any donations made towards the appeal at the moment will be doubled, meaning every £1 donated becomes £2, helping us make an even greater impact.

As mentioned, our Mobile Breast Screening Appeal is raising £410,000 to provide a new, fully equipped, state-of-the-art mobile mammography screening unit for South Buckinghamshire. The unit will help bring vital breast screening services closer to women in local communities, making appointments more accessible and helping with earlier detection of breast cancer, which can save lives. Around 10,000 women each year are expected to benefit from the new mobile unit.
