In celebration of my 60th year and with a desire to give something back in recognition of the privileged life I have been fortunate to enjoy, I have signed up as a volunteer with Rams in Kenya 2027.

Working in partnership with Derby County Community Trust (DCCT) and African Adventures, I will be undertaking a humanitarian trip to one of the poorest areas of Nakuru, Kenya, to support schools in need. During my time there, I will be helping with building and renovation projects to improve school facilities and create a better learning environment for the children.

Every project we complete will contribute towards a brighter future for these young people, while providing me with invaluable lessons in resilience, gratitude and optimism.

To take part in this incredible opportunity I am fundraising towards a target of £2,975. I have already paid my deposit of £195 and I would be deeply grateful for any support you can offer to help me reach my goal.

Your donation, no matter how small will not only enable me to embark on this life-changing journey but will also directly support the children of Nakuru by helping to provide improved educational facilities and essential resources. Funds raised contribute towards building materials, renovation work, general maintenance projects and support for the work of DCCT.

Every contribution makes a difference and brings me one step closer to helping create lasting positive change for these children and their communities.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It is truly appreciated.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box, as this allows your donation to go even further at no extra cost to you.

Thank you again for your generosity. Claire x
