Story
At 50, I return to Mongolia - for Women’s Voives - Expedition 2026: Lake Khövsgöl Ice Crossing
This year marks a turning point in my life. After decades in corporate leadership, I’ve chosen a break — a moment of reinvention — to reconnect with purpose. Joining the Women on a Mission expedition in Mongolia is the perfect way to honor this new chapter.
Mongolia holds a special place in my story. For my 40th birthday, my gift was a summer trip there — a journey that left me with unforgettable memories. Now, ten years later, I return for my 50th, but this time in the depths of winter. It feels like a wink from life: the same land, a new season, a new chapter. I’ve always dreamed of being an explorer, and while the cold intimidates me, the challenge excites me even more.
My purpose has always been about supporting women, and engaging with Women for Women International makes complete sense. Their work empowers survivors of violence to rebuild their lives with dignity, and I want every step I take in Mongolia to echo that mission.
My fundraising goal is 5000USD, and with your support, we can make a tangible difference. Contributions will go directly to programs that protect, educate, and uplift women worldwide.
I will share updates on my preparation, and the expedition itself so you can follow the journey with me. Thank you for standing with me — your generosity is not just a donation, it’s a step toward change!
