Story
As part of Cheffins’ 200th anniversary and goal of raising £200,000 for charity, a team of 9 saddle-sore, heatwave weary cyclists are taking on a mammoth cycling challenge to visit each of the Cheffins offices on an 89 mile route.
The route starts from Addenbrookes and rolls along to Cheffins Head Office in Cambridge before battling the headwind through the flatlands to Sutton Sale Ground and Ely. Then, with the speed of a thoroughbred racehorse, the team will head down to the offices at Newmarket and Haverhill, before taking on the rolling hills towards Saffron Walden and limping back to Cambridge!
The team members are Claire Powell, Edward Tabner, David Bushell, Will Moss, Ryan Bourgaise, Andy Nicholas, Adam Twiddy, Henry Sidebottom and Clair Eskandary. Please help them with their fundraising to support Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust and the new transformative Cambridge Children's Hospital. This will be a hospital built with children at its heart and will serve 1.5 million children and young people living across the East of England.
Our region is currently the only area without a dedicated children’s hospital in the country, and we are proud to be an integral part of delivering this essential service for the young people of the East of England.
Together in partnership, Cheffins and Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust are helping to transform lives for generations to come – helping children to reach their potential for longer, happier, healthier lives.
