Story
I’m running the London Marathon in memory of my mum, who sadly passed away last year from cancer. Mum was cared for by the fabulous team at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice. Every single person we came in contact with was simply amazing. Their kindness, and incredible support during her time at the hospice has had a profound effect on my family.
This charity provided her with the exceptional medical care she needed, in addition to the emotional support and dignity she deserved during her final days. Their compassion and dedication meant the world to our family. The very least I can do is run a few miles with the hope of raising well earned funds for this incredible charity. Mum always thought I was crazy for running marathons, but did mention that “perhaps I ought to do something to help raise some money” So here I am!!
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice provides vital care to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses, allowing them to spend their final days in comfort, with their families by their side. They offer this all completely free of charge and rely on donations to continue their amazing work.
I’m taking on this challenge to raise much-needed funds for a cause that is very close to my heart. Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in supporting the hospice and allowing them to offer this service to other families.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal and honor mum’s memory. Thank you so much for your support.
