As many of you know, my Dad was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukaemia in 2007 and we can all proudly say he has been in remission for 17 years! Looking back on that time it was an event that completely changed all of our lives and I am always so grateful for the care my dad received and obviously for the outcome. Since then we always strive to fundraise and raise awareness for all Blood Cancers and to support the charity formerly known as Leukaemia Research UK. I myself usually help raise the money through dancing, spreading the word, helping with events - unlike some of our team who do pretty cool sporting things like the annual London to Paris Bike Rides. So here we are, me and my boyfriend are joining Team Street for the ultimate challenge in 2025 - THE LONDON MARATHON! My first big sporting challenge for charity!

I have watched for so many years cheering on friends and my Dad actually and always found it so inspiring. Did I think I would ever do it....no! Until now, i've never even been out on a run, I avoid the treadmill at all costs, so this is all completely new for me and scary. However, it's something I am so excited to take part in, representing Team Street and raising money for this incredible cause. I will be documenting all the training and the build up and no doubt it'll be pretty comical, and hopefully by next April i'll be mega fit and a superstar runner!
