Claire's fundraiser for The Lewy Body Society

Claire Terry is raising money for The Lewy Body Society
In memory of Dad, Mark Dix

Wing walk

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

Hey, thank you for clicking the link:) As you know, my Dad fought with all he had but eventually succumbed to the terrible disease that is Lewy Body Dementia last year. Absolutely anything we can do to raise awareness, increase research and fund medication to help the million or so new LBD cases expected globally next year, increasing each year thereafter, can only be a good thing. Even if it does include me being strapped to the outside of a plane whilst it does who knows what in midair. I hope you’ll be watching Dad. Oh, and there’s a nasty rumour that this coincides with my 50th so if you’re thinking of marking either or both of these things somehow, a little something to the phenomenal Lewy Body Society would be magic. So from the bottom of mine and my Dad’s hearts, thank you.
