Claire says: Thank you for visiting our fundraising page for Dementia UK. In my mum’s memory, we’d like to fundraise for the charity which gave us valuable support throughout her later years.

Susan was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s in September 2020. Over the years that followed, dementia robbed her of many things, but it did not rob her of her spirit, her sense of humour or her smile.

By requesting donations in Susan’s memory, instead of flowers, we hope to help other families facing dementia with their loved ones.

Just £27 can fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse for one hour, offering support to families facing dementia.

And if we can raise a total of £500, that would allow two Admiral Nurses to take helpline calls all day on a Sunday, when other support services are closed.
