Snowdon Climb · 26 August 2023

Our aim is to help with the physical and mental health wellbeing for all who have served HM Armed Forces and Commowealth personnel based in the UK. Reducing the feeling of loneliness and isolation is a very big part of the things we do. We manage to do this with the kind donations we recieve.

Story

Southampton Veterans’ Trust provide vital work for the local veteran community. My two bosses, Colin and Tracey, together with their new army of volunteers provide PTSD counselling, cooking lessons, outreach to vulnerable veterans, help with homelessness, help from the DWP, breakfast and walking clubs, therapeutic art and craft events, community remembrance events and education. They also provide a place to sit and talk with other veterans and a few good civilians. Through their work, I genuinely believe that I have not only seen them change lives, I’ve seen lives saved.

Jim and I would be massively grateful if you could spare a few pennies to sponsor us as we climb Snowdon at sunset with our mates (Some of whom will climb twice!) and remember those we’ve said goodbye to, in particular one of our biggest supporters Gilly who we lost recently.
