Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·

Goldenhar UK is a charity setup to support families and individuals affected by Goldenhar Syndrome. A condition that causes facial deformities at birth, including (but not limited to) missing ears, hearing loss, skin tags and a cleft palate.

Story

The Great North Run is the worlds biggest Half Marathon, now in its 41st year!

Bethan and Sam are taking on the challenge this year. Bethan with the challenge of the half marathon and Sam is taking on the Mini Great North Run to raise much needed funds for Goldenhar UK, a small charity who couldn’t survive without the generosity of your donations.

Bethan and Sam’s brother, Lewis, was diagnosed with Goldenhar Syndrome and we found the Goldenhar UK charity a few years ago as we looked for help and support. They have helped Lewis in many ways as they arrange an annual family get together for all families affected by Goldenhar Syndrome and this has helped us as a family, as well as Lewis, understand the syndrome and also give invaluable peer on peer support.

Please help us give something back to the charity that has helped us over the years. Any amount big or small is very much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
