Claire Wright is raising money for The Lily Foundation

Santa In The City for The Lily foundation · 2 December 2025 to 4 December 2025 ·

By making a donation of just £20 this Christmas, you'll be helping The Lily Foundation provide vital support to patients and families impacted by this little-known but devastating disease.

Story

I'm taking part in Santa in the City 2025 to raise awareness and vital funds for The Lily Foundation, the UK’s leading charity fighting mitochondrial disease.

For children and adults living with mito, life can be incredibly tough — but with your help, The Lily Foundation can keep funding life-changing research and providing support for families who need it most.

Your donation, big or small, makes a real difference.

10 million people in the UK suffer from diseases in which mitochondrial dysfunction is believed to be involved, while every day in the UK a baby is born who will develop mitochondrial disease. The disease is debilitating, there is no cure and lives are cut far too short. The Lily Foundation's aim is to one day find a cure for mito.

As the UK's leading charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease, their mission is to support people whose lives are affected by the condition, raise awareness and fund research into its prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
