Claire White's Hadrian’s Wall hike for Variety

I’ll be hiking daily from the North Sea coast at Tynemouth to Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast, a distance of at least 90 miles over seven days. I set off on 24th July 2025 for the first day with a 15 mile hike. This will help the fundraising for Daz's Rock 4 Charity who support Variety, the Children's Charity. Variety help disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK and will help towards a Sunshine coach minibus

Hadrian's Wall is a Roman fortification spanning across northern England, built to mark the northern frontier of the Roman Empire. Constructed in AD 122, it took six years to complete and served as a defensive barrier against the "barbarian" tribes north of the wall.
