Clare's fundraiser for British Heart Foundation

Strong Woman Challenge · 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2025 ·
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. I know many people are affected by heart disease and most of us know someone who has or had heart problems. Personally, my maternal grandad, my mum, my best friend to name a few have/had heart disease. My grandad had open heart surgery when I was only about 10 (in the early 80's) I remember being very scared of his huge scar, thankfully he lived a long time after that & died in his late 80's. More recently mum has had a replacement valve fitted in a TAVI procedure. This is done via an artery in the groin so is much less invasive, hopefully she is well on the road to recovery.
We are all guilty of taking our heart for granted, it's there, it beats, it keeps us alive but often we don't look after it like we do other parts of our body yet we could say it is the most important part.
I am trying hard to look after mine and this strong woman fundraiser is an excellent way to increase cardiovascular health. I've never done a fundraiser before. I'm generally the one who donates to others but I would really like to try & raise some funds for this very important charity. Please donate if you can, all money will be so gratefully received. Thank you, Clare
Info below about BHF:
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
