Riada are walking 100 miles throughout May to support life-saving cancer research.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. They support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. This pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives.

Riada are community led and people focussed. We’re passionate about supporting causes that matter to our employees and Cancer Research UK is a charity close to our hearts. By taking part in the 100 miles for May challenge we hope to promote awareness, raise vital funds while also prioritising our employee wellbeing, encouraging everyone to move more and make being active part of our daily routines.

How does Cancer Research UK raise funds?

Cancer Research UK relies on the generosity of the public to fund its life-saving research and it needs support more now than ever. They raise funds through donations, gifts in Wills, community fundraising and events, corporate partnerships, and their retail chain of over 600 shops.

What will your donation go towards?

The charity funds scientists, doctors and nurses to work towards prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Funding supports something as big as a new research centre down to the small glass slides that are used to analyse cancer cells.
