3D Design fundraiser for KCAH

Kingston College is raising money for KCAH

Kingston College 3D Design students 'Big Sleep Out' · 24 October 2025

Founded in 1993 by the churches of Kingston borough, KCAH provides four key services: housing crisis intervention drop-in centre, supported temporary accommodation, specialist support for people with alcohol and substance use, winter night shelter for rough sleepers during the colder months.

Story

The KCAH (Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness) charity was set up in 1993 by over 50 churches in the Royal Borough of Kingston. The churches recognised that there was a housing and homelessness problem in the area and that it needed to be addressed by a professional housing advice service. 3D Design students from Kingston College completed work experience for this charity last year by manufacturing planters that were placed in the charity grounds in Kingston and raised money by selling plants and pots at college. This year we are stepping it up by doing a sponsored sleep out for a night. Students will spend the night constructing shelters out of card and experiencing what it is like to spend a night outside.
