Running for ELFT – My London Landmarks Half Marathon Journey

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust).

Running has always been something I’ve enjoyed, and I’ve long dreamed of participating in a marathon. Unfortunately, I never managed to get through the ballot, but when the opportunity to run through work came up, I knew I had to go for it!

This challenge is especially meaningful to me because I’ve spent the last 22 years working in the NHS as a medical secretary and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work done by ELFT to support mental health and community care, and I’m proud to contribute to their mission in a new way.

Every step I take in this race will be for a cause that has been a huge part of my life and career.
