In November, I’ll be stepping into the boxing ring for the Ultra White Collar Boxing (UWCB) event – not just to challenge myself, but to raise vital funds for the Highland Hospice in memory of two of the most important people in my life: my mum and dad.

Highland Hospice played a huge part in their care and gave our family comfort during incredibly hard times. The compassion and support they offered was something I’ll never forget – and now, I want to give something back.

I’ve never boxed before, and this will be pushing myself harder than I ever have before, stepping way out of my comfort zone for a cause that truly matters to me. Every punch I throw in that ring will be for them. And they are the reason I chose £6,500 as my goal as they both passed away aged 65. So felt an appropriate number to aim for.
