Story
I'm taking on the Strong Woman Challenge this October for British Heart Foundation.
It's 31 days of strength training, designed for me to go at my own pace all while my fundraising helps fund lifesaving research.
I'm doing the challenge because this year I am focusing on me, I've joined Slimming World and have lost over 1 stone so far.
I am not an active person and have had a few medical set backs over the last ten years. I have many hobbies but they are mostly activities that I am sitting at.
I have just turned 61 and became a Grandma in June, I feel it's time I looked after my movability which is currently quite poor especially my balance.
I have no idea how I'll manage the floor exercises but I'll focus on one day at a time and work along everyone else.
I've previously raised money for charities that are connected to me - MS, Cancer Research, Breast Care Now - and charities that have affected my family - Pancreatic Cancer, Alzheimers.
I'd like to help the British Heart Foundation as members of my family and my extended family have suffered with cardiac problems and the charity does great work especially research.
Every donation will inspire me to take on a new strength exercise and keep me motivated.
Thank you for the your support.
